Green Lights (heart sensor) issue

Yesterday during the "Indoor walk" workout I have noticed that green lights (heart sensors) are always on.

I have restarted the Watch, but as soon as I open Workout application, the lights are permanently on: during some 20 minutes exercise, they switch off couple of time just for 2-3 seconds.

Please help me understand what is the issue?

I do exercises almost every day, and it is the fist time I see them permanently lighting.

Both iPhone and Watch are up-to-date with last software

Thanks

Hi

That is normal behaviour.

When tracking a workout via the Workout app, Apple Watch measures your heart rate continuously.

Hi Jonathan

Thanks for your prompt reply.

As I have mentioned earlier, I regularly do Indoor Walk at home for last month.

And this is first time I see it always lighting.

You strongly believe that is the right behavior, then last 29 days was something wrong with Watch?

When wearing Apple Watch sufficiently snugly, it should not typically be possible to see the LED lights in operation.

During exercise, check that you are wearing Apple Watch snugly on the top of your wrist. Apple suggests that you consider tightening your band before workouts and loosening it again afterwards.

Better contact with your wrist may improve heart rate sensor performance during your workout. Wearing your watch sufficiently snugly at other times will also deliver the best performance from features including Wrist Detection and haptic feedback.
