How does one create a new text message that has no thread in the work-wide double screen app for passport?

Not possible currently. A future update to Work Wide will allow for this though. Stay tuned

Sarcasm aside, we are working on an update. Things are just going slowly because "real life" got in the way for both me and the other developer on this. And starting new SMS conversations is definitely going to be included.
