It looks like he bought the app with his id, that is the likely reason it would ask for his.
No, i confirmed with him right away but he has not bought the app. I also mentioned that it was initially being updated with my id only.
You can try deleting the app, force restarting the phone, and then reinstalling it. You could also try signing out of the iTunes Store and signing back in.
Forced Restart: Hold down the Home and Wake/Sleep buttons at the same time for about 15-20 seconds until the Apple logo appears.
Look at your purchase history and make sure that you have purchased the app first, then you can try redownloading it.
I would suspect that the copy of the app on your device was purchased under your brother's id.
That is what I suggested also but he said that it wasn't. That is the only reason I can think of for an app asking for his brother's id.
It would be of great help if you could tell me from where I can check purchase history.
On the phone go to Settings> App Store> Updates and it should list what you have purchased under the ID you are logged in.
There is a way to do this in iTunes also and if interested I can list, a little more involved.
